It looks like it was one of those nice "solo" rides that all of us need every once in a while.
Good to know, because mine is just about to begin |

By those photos you'd never know it was late November in the Rocky Mtns. of Utah! Sorry I missed the ride today guys. Maybe later in this week if the weather is still dry.

off1 wanted to take his re-built Vee out, and I just happen to have some extra time. we met at the Smiths market at the mouth of American Fork, Yeah off1 has to wait , I got lost in Lehi,
![]() We were hoping to go up to cascade springs and over to Midway for lunck, at about 7 miles into the canyon we decided it's not the best idea, especially when we sorta lost traction in a turn or two on the road .Headed down again, turned south to take Provo Canyon up to Heber. We stopped at Deer Creek Res. and took a few pictures. These pictures were taken about 10 feet below the water line. And just windy as Hell. ![]() Lunch in Heber at a little Pizzeria I like to visit with the wife when we are out. ![]() Our last leg was just straight forward, hwy 40 to PC, down Parleys Canyon. Got of on 700 E and in a parking lot next to pepboys we said our good bye's.

When you said you had gone down, I figured you were trying out your off-road skills (I guess because of the knobbies). I didn't think it was an asphalt get-off. From the photo of the street location, it looks like it could have been a lot worse if it had happened during peak traffic. Road rash sucks, but it's good to hear that it wasn't worse. It looks like your crash bars and bags did a pretty good job of protecting the bike.
Did the driver of the vehicle stop? Were emergency responders dispatched? Police? |

Looks nasty - glad you're OK! Looks like your bike survived OK inspite of it's road rash, but that's what the guards / gear is for. Would've been a lot worse without the bars. Heal up fast.

The guy didn't stop.
No authorities involved. I just got up, made sure I was in one piece and rode back home. This occurred in State St and 1200 North (?) Orem. Sent from my right shoe using the Motorcycle app |
