I can't get away for both days, but would be able to ride for one day, the 25th. Let me know what you come up with. (Just note this will depend on how my wife is doing, but at this point, looks very possible.)

I went through Steamboat Springs and Craig, Co on the way home from "The Gathering", I'm not sure I'm ready to go back yet. Steamboat was hopping with tourists, very busy place. The ride up to and through Rocky Mountain N. P. is worth every mile but, it's expensive $20 per vehicle. There is also some major road construction west of the summit in the park, for several miles. Could be some long delays.

Good tip on the construction, I'll check it out. Do you remember what road # it was on? I have a parks pass for Rocky Mt, but I think our Friday day ride is going the other direction, I need to check that also.

It is a busy place for certain, but where we stay at is pretty quiet. I'm just looking forward to the ride, it's been a while......

There is only one road from the Summit in the park to the West pay station. I think it's 36 or 34? That's where all the construction is. Theh east side of the summit is ok, no road work.

I thought it was just silly to go through that rock pile without a skid plate (and without proper gear)! And the guy was upset about munching his pipes?! Brilliant! What did he think was going to happen? With the oil filter and cooler exposed the way they are on the 650 he's lucky that's all he damaged. They're also both lucky not to have busted their ankles and shredded their legs.

Checked it out, no construction where we are going, but thanks for the tip.

Did you decide where you're going on your ride? I'm meeting a guy in Vernal or there-abouts on Friday if your going that far we could meet for lunch.

Good god, I'm in for a ride. Hell, I am in for a ride with an overnight camping trip involved on short notice too. I'm sick and tired of SLC traffic right now, what with UDOT having everything tied down to a single lane everywhere with pissed off people who don't see me anyway trying to blast past everyone.

Heck, just give me a destination and I'll go see if it is still there this weekend, just to get out of town

My wife has plans for this weekend. Think she wants to do Hanna's Kitchen this saturday, but not the whole loop. Hope to see some of you out there.
