Default Bike starts then dies

It started a couple weeks ago. I started the bike up in the morning and then you could hear it start to slow down then it just died. If it had been a carbureted bike I would have wanted to move the choke down. It started right back up and then a little later died again. It died later when I came to a stop at a stop sign so I left it slightly revving at the next light. Once the bike was warmed up I was able to just let it idle. Any ideas? I'm on the 2nd tank of gas since then and have changed the oil. Also it doesn't do this all the time, but fairly frequently. Thanks.

Cheryl

It is actually low at 800, when I believe it should be at 1200. But the strange thing is that the idle has always been at 800 since I bought the bike and I never had a problem before. I am wondering why it just now started to be a problem.

Bike was never adjusted correctly, before it left the shop. Seems that MOST people have their Stroms set up incorrectly, when they first buy them. Varying weather/temps could be why it hasn't "always" died since you bought it. Kick it up to 1100/1200 rpm, and you'll be much happier!

The DL650 specification for idle speed is 1300 ±100 for example. I don't know about the DL1000. Set the idle as specified.
