The DL1k has been idle, unstarted and unmoved for over 2 weeks now since the temps, snow and mag chloride spread has fallen.
it has been wicked cold, temps in the low single digits, both above and below 0, the DL1k in stored in an unheated garage.
I see evidence on the floor of a slight coolant leak, seems to be dripping from the bottom left hand side of the radiator. The coolant is bright green, fluid in the overflow tank is not frozen, tests as show still good fluid.
The bike has not been warm or hot and the cooling system is not pressurized, and I as I am paying close attention to the bike and surrounding area, the drip is new and only has appeared as we have hit some really cold weather here in the CO mountains.
Is it possible that some connection has contracted such due to the extreme cold to allow this leak?
I have tried to trace the source of the leak, but full investigation would require removal of the fairing, which I have not undertaken at this point.
BTW, the DL650, in the same garage, shows no evidence of leaking.
