My friend has a DR650 and I loved it but preferred the comfort and look of the KLR. We ride on gravel a lot an I always found the Wee quite a handful. I wanted something a bit more gravel oriented and after riding the DR I decided I would go for the KLR. I didn't want something to replace the wee. I love the KLR although when I first tried it out it felt a bit like I was riding a tractor in comparison to the wee. I'm used to it now and find it gives me some great options as to where I can ride. Its comfortable, big tank and although a little underpowered it goes anywhere. Riding the strom is a totally different feel. I'll use the KLR for local short rides and gravel/off road stuff and keep the wee for longer road trips. Love both bikes!
