Can someone go over the changes if any in the VL1000s. What did they change and when over the years. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I'll assume you meant DL1000 instead of VL1000 so am changing the title accordingly.
DL1000 Through the Years!
There was no 2011 and the 2012 is unchanged from 2009 except for color.
