2008 DL650 w/ ABS, matte grey, centerstand, rear AM trunk. 6k miles. Dealer asking 5K.

I was all cruiser oriented but was trying to have an open mind. Dealer suggested I try it out and I just about said no after glancing at it just on looks. Then I sat down and it seemed perfect. Now I've got the bug. I was only planning on paying 2-3K for a bike. Planning to use as a daily rider. I camp and hike so the possibility of taking this on fire roads excited me.

How comfortable are passengers? Seat looks roomy enough.

From the looking I've been doing, that is a very good price. Care to say who the dealer is? At that price, it might still be a good deal even after paying for shipping to get it home to Oregon.

If you want it, you better snatch it up before someone else does at that price.

I recently looked at an 08 non-ABS bike with around the same mileage. It also was at a dealer, had experienced a tipover with rash on the side panel, and did not have the extras you mention. His counter-offer price to me was $5,000. So it sounds like a fair deal. In the end, I was fortunate to pick up an 06 for $3,100, but I don't think that is common.

I bought my used DL650abs last June with 5300 miles on it. Pristine condition. $5300 in the San Francisco Bay Area. Anything less is a steal for this bike. Good luck and you won't regret it.

Sounds like a good price. That's about exactly the bike I'm looking to buy for a similar price. I'd like something with some farkles on it already, but I see it's got the centerstand and trunk, so that's really solid -- ESPECIALLY for a dealer price. Offer $4500, go home thrilled.

A couple of other must haves that are easy to DYI are 1) Madstad windscreen bracket and 2) heated hand grips (Oxford Heaterz) If it already has a center stand, $4800-$5000 is a great price, $4500 is a steal! Good luck
