A local dealer has a 2015 DL1000 AA for $11,499.

Is that a good deal? Any idea how much wiggle room there is in a motorcycle price?

I looked on Cycle Trader and the best I found within 150 miles of me was the same price before Tax, Tags, etc.

I'd think with the '16s coming you should be able to chop that down to 11,500 out the door if you shop at multiple locations.
I usually email and did that with my '16 Grizzly ATV. Went from 10,500 OTD to 9200 OTD haggling via email.

there are few dealers dumping new '14 adventure models for $9K (+ another $500 or so for freight, handling, etc. fees). I was going to fly out to Buffalo from Boston (< $100 one-way flight) to get one and ride it back. Instead I found a non-adventure '14 demo (1500 miles) for $7500 out-the-door a little closer in CT. Two hour train ride, bike was ready for me, fifteen minutes later after signing paperwork and chatting with the nice saleswoman, i was on the road for the 2-hour ride back home. With the savings from a non-adventure model, you can add those missing farkles of your choice and still have money left over.

mcrag,

what color did you get?

I think it a cool way to get a bike; arrange the deal-travel-sign.. ride home! :)
