New Wee-Strom owner here, located near Medina Lake. I'm down for some rides! My bike is well broken in, but I can't wait to put some miles of my own on it. I'm looking for some scenic riding out here if anyone has any good ideas.

Gruene is a great place to go travel to for a day trip, and the road towards canyon lake off I 35 ( next to gruene) is an excellent ride! Lots of Hill country beauty and scenic lake views, just lots of cops so stick to the speed limit!

New braunfels as you may know is a great place to ride and look around, right next to gruene. Also I sometimes like to travel I 10 north out of SA and just take an exit to see what's there. If you take 37 south to the pleasanton exit and turn left, you can find some excellent picture spots and lots of oilfield beauty. I cant tell you how many eautiful places ive been travelling to a well site! Smiley is a nice little drive too. Not too much in SA, mostly because it's a metro area but there is quite a bit waiting right out of town! Take the ride around calaveras, that's a nice ride as well.

Default New in Town

Hey SA Troopers!

I just moved to SA from New Mexico. I have a 2012 DL650. I'm looking for places to ride and folks to ride with. I live north of 1604 up just north of Timberwood Park off of Blanco Rd, so I'm basically in the Hill Country. Its been a busy time getting settled in, don't even have all of my furniture here yet, but I should be good to go soon. Cheers!

Smile SA riders

I just got my DL 650. Cool ride my last bike was a FJ so that would kind of date me. Diferent kind of ride but fun in a friendly sort of way. Now if I could just get rid of the helmet buffeting like would be great. Not to familiar with the local roads, I am originally from CA. I miss the mountain roads there and the ability to lane split, but SA is a great place to raise a family. Maybe in the next month or so we can get a ride together.

I've heard mirror extenders help with that. You may also want to try different height adjustments on the windshield.
