Thanks very much for the info. i would come out to the airport but i have to take it in to Denton for the 600 mile service. Also the hand brake isn't turning on the brake light. kind of bothersome. I'm not big on wind so i want the blockage of a wide/tall windshield.
Those side racks for the Wee on ebay will those fit the Vee? $85 for the set or each? If it would fit that would be perfect. I think the Corbin would probably be the best but i'm cheap and the Sargent maybe a little less. So far as the sound goes you have to remember i'm a convert from a Big Cruiser. I like some sound. I've heard the Two Brothers slip ons and they sound pretty good.
It is going to take awhile to get this motorcycle Farkled. But I'm really enjoying the experience of riding the Vee. Riding a big heavy bike for so long makes you appreciate the much lighter Vee.
Hope i can get out to the airport and do some meetin and greetin.

All the Best,
Malcolm Duke

check w/ the vender as to fitment for the side racks

i think they should fit both, equally well

maybe someone else, here, can clear that up

the price is $/pair

i had a similar brake light issue & just took a phillips screw driver under the lever assly & removed the switch

simple 1-screw job w/ a little tab or alignment thingy to get lined up

i checked the switch by taking a jumper wire & crossing the connector @ the plug

when the light lit as i shorted across the plug, i went to the shop & got a new switch

just that simple, for my situation

hope it's that simple for you

i'll be missing the sat morn coffee for a couple weeks & then off n on thru the end of the summer(the boat calls me)

thanks for the flea bay listing. I already sent a message to that ebay store and the rack won't fit the 1000. hopefully they will think about making one for the Vee.
Just ordered some farkle. Handlebar risers with 1inch up and 1 inch back and a windshield. They should be here this week.
6 of us are headed to Arkansas at the end of September for Mancation.
hopefully i'll have a new seat by then. I really don't like the stock seat.

Cheers,
Malcolm Duke

Hey everyone, my new '11 wee and I just pulled into Sanger for the school year. I go to UNT in Denton, and don't know many other riders - especially ones with Vstroms. Only have 1,000 miles on my bike so far, and am looking to add many many farkles. Let me know if you guys want to ride, or if you're selling any upgrades!

Default Howdy

Glad you are here. I haven't found many folks in the Tarrant Denton county area with V stroms. I did see one this afternoon on Grapevine hwy in colleyville. It was a silver color and so far away i couldn't tell if it was a Wee or a Vee.
Any who there is a group that meets at the private airport on 1171 off of 377 south of Denton on Saturday mornings. i don't know how accurate the info is.
Hope your studies go well at UNT.
Attached a photo of my 2012. Got it in June. I'm a daily rider to and from work and on occasion a long ride on Saturday.

Cheers,
Malcolm Duke

Default FNG from Weatherford

I brought home my Wee last night. 3 bikes in the stable now. I'm heading to the Roll the Bones ride on a DR650 this weekend. Anyone ride west of DFW on weekends?

Default Breakfast in Wford

Good $4 breakfast specials at R&K cafe. Two locations on Hwy 180. First one in Hudson Oaks just off I-20. Next one at corner of Bankhead and 180. Two brothers so two locations.
