just hardwired a gps to my dl1k pc8, just wondering what size fuse would be best.

I have a 2A on mine. That's pretty typical. A 5A would be fine too.

I would guess hardwiring kits would be GPS brand and model specific. My GPS is a Garmin 2730 (ya, I know an antique

When I wired up mine, old Garmins, I pulled out the batteries. I used a 10 amp fuse because I wired up an AUX plug at the same time. Eastern Beaver and others supply really nice fuse blocks for this sort of application. I just haven't ordered a set yet.

i fitted the chinese gps called navngo here in aus, i think theyre called peaklife over youre way, mine came with the hardwire setup included in the package.
