I bought (no report) Bridgestone Battalax BT -023 because they were supposed to be hard center medium sides.

Also IMHO all the tread patterns that are NOT obviously lugg knobbies are all marketing BS (like ANAKEE2) Just an example that is a very good tire but the blocky appearance is shenanigans.

Just put a set of Metzler Tourance's on the WEE. Can't believe the difference over the stock TrailWings. Cornering is unbelievable, hope they hold up.

Oh, I've read all the archives, but I was after some fresh opinions.

Thanks, Joe
the above respondents will, mostly, all poo-poo me for running shinko 705's in hill country

but i've ridden down there in april & june, this year & have no complaints

any paved road, down there, will have sand & gravel on it from the local farmers

more important than the tires you choose might ought to be your insurance coverage, if you plan on running 100 mph in texas hill country

just my $.02 worth

shiny side up

Michelin Anakee after 10 000 km in Ukraina and Russia, where the quality of road surface was often challenging, to put it nicely. Still several thousand kilometres to go.

I have seen vintage bikes with 2 rear sprockets but first time on a Strom.Bet it would fly with a gear ratio like that.
If it had a derailleur it would be good
