I'm thinking of trying one. They are only $89 bucks instead of the $134 for the TW152's.

Bridgestone TW152 Trail Wing Dual Sport Rear Tire - Dirt Bike Motocross - Motorcycle Superstore

I'd like to get Avon distansia but they want $175 for one of those!

The Vee and Wee use the same tires. All experience with the brand is valid regardless of Strom model. I'm moving this to a more appropriate forum.

I was wanting to try one too, but thought someone else had used them before and had some input. I put a lot of miles on my bike so I keep an extra set of tires on hand.

Please go up to the Search Dialog Box, at the top of the page, (Where it says, "Google Custom Search", and type in: Shinko 705 Tires.

You will find a TON of information!

Default 705's

experienced both rain & shine on my recent trip from dfw to key west & back, on my wee

i weigh 260# before gearing up & way before loading up w/ a full compliment of camping gear (see picture near "southernmost point"

i had installed a fresh set of 705's before the trip & had just enough time, before i left home, to ride the new off of them

4562 miles with only slight wear evident and NO ISSUES

i have, since, spent a long weekend riding the Texas hill country on them and am still quite satisfied with my choice

interstates, 4 lanes, 2 lanes, 1 lane hot tops, gravel, dirt, sand & even water crossings

all results were predictable and still no surprises

i'll, most likely, be ordering another set when these wear out, whenever that happens

I ran a set on my BMWGS without any issues at all.Originally they had tire chunking issues but that was addressed over 2 years ago IIRC.

Just put a set of 705's on my K8 Vee after running a few sets of Battle Wings. Once they wore in a bit, I LOVE the Shinko's. I have ridden in rain, dry, tight twists, highway, gravel etc. and they are great!! They are very predictable in the corners with at least as much grip as the Battle wings (more in the rain and gravel). Very stable. Fun Country (The Dalles) set my pressures to 35F/35R. So far so good. I recommend them!!

Hey Shaggy its almost ten oclock, shouldn't you be riding "Avenue Of The Giants" right about now? Hope you went to Eel River Brewery in Fortuna last night.
Just a note...I run mine at 42r, 40f and the rear last 8Kmi. The front has close to 15K and still looks new. My third rear is arriving today.
