Having just got back into riding a couple years ago, I started out on a beat up old Kawasaki KLR. It was a great bike, but I have to ride too many highways to get to the 'good stuff' where I live and it was just too draining to push the old Thumper along at 70 mph for extended periods.

With much reluctance, I realized I needed something smoother for my aging bones. I talked myself into a Triumph Tiger 955i until I rode one; it just didn't feel right despite being a wonderful machine. I resisted the Wee for a long time because I didn't like the styling all that much, but finally relented to trying one out. I doubt I rode it for more than 2 miles before knowing it was the right choice.

2004 with 40-ish thousand on it. The deal was "meant to be" as the seller was looking to generate some cash for a home purchase and actually wanted a cheap KLR. So, a partial trade was done and everyone wound up happy!

Has a few custom farkles along with the Givi cases (Madstad, extra fuse block, custom seat, some kind of remote adjustable rear shock, throttle lock) but since I like to ride forest roads it will need a skidplate and tank guards. I love the smooth nature of both the ride and the power; the vibration on the KLR just killed me after a few hours. Only downside is I bought it just in time for the weather to turn crappy; only had it out twice since I brought it home!

Ha...my Dad loved scrapple. I won't touch the stuff. Despite my German heritage I can't stand most of the PA Dutch dishes.
