I just joined to forum to learn more about V-Strom. I have interested about V-Strom since I saw first one in dealer in 2004 when I was still living in Europe.

I am riding now BMW K1200LT but thinking about going to lighter bike.

Howdy neighbor, from The Colony! I'm going to get a v-strom this weekend. Shoot me a message here (or Stealthcrf on twtex.com) if you want to do some riding with me or the other local guys.

I traded my old bike two two weeks ago for 2007 DL1000.
Vee was already fitted with most of needed farkles, Jesse bags, Givi top box, madstad, PC III...
But it is missing crash bars and skid plate. Maybe those need to be put on shopping list.

Only complain after two weeks is fuel consumption. It has 10-15 mpg less than 300 lb heavier beemer.

Try some different mapping on the PCIII. I'm getting 47-50 mpg on open country rides.
