And I'm going to pick it up today. I have been pondering this for a while. The last new bike I bought was a 1978 PE 175,
I still have it. I have owned a few Suzuki's over the years and this bike seems to fit my interests exactly. I have been blessed lately, enough to by a new motorcycle and with the wife and kids approval (youngest kid 22) I hope to wear out some tires. ![]() More when I get it home. |

The kids approval? What parenting book is that in?
Son, can I buy a moorcycle? Hey, congrats and I hope the bike is everything you hope for. I know I really like mine. The Wee is really a good thing. |

Congrats and welcome to the forum. What part of southern Illinois? I'm in Glen Carbon but bought my used wee in Fairfield. Good Luck and
Stay Safe. Dave

The biggest thing I notice upon my first Strom ride, was how much better a modern bike handles, than the old early 80's bikes I'd been riding......you'll be shocked!

My son always approves, and then it goes something like this .... "I'm getting, I mean, you're keeping, the old one, right?" My wife and daughter never offically approve. They resignedly approve (if that's a word at all). Good luck with the new bike and wearing out the tires. Then get Pilot Road 3s.

my son does not hesitate to scold me for spending his inheritance
Ah, yes, the greedy hands reaching out before the grave. Wife and I are spending it down so the kids can have what we started out with ...NOTHING! I have given at least one son a motorcycle though. We are generous occasionally. Do your kids ever pay back the "LOANS"? Funny how that doesn't work!

I stated that wrong (with the approval of my wife and kids) I should have said
"with the encouragement of my wife and kids" Went Saturday and picked it up, trailer queened her back home ( for various reasons) got home kinda late so no pics on Saturday but today ![]() I bought it at Big St. Charles Motorsports in St. Charles Mo. I worked with Bob Emerson, good guy I liked him. They gave me a price that I though I better grab. The are averaging like 260 bikes in October and 300 a month in the summer. Cant sell that many with out good prices. |
