Smile Greetings from Nova Scotia

I've been lurking for a while and decided to join this great forum yesterday.

I bought my first ever, new to me Wee-Strom (2008 with ABS) just 2 weeks ago. Been a cruiser man for the last 30 years and decided it was time for a change. Never cared much for the "bad ass wannabees", it's just not my thing. Sold my trusty old 2001 Honda Shadow Sabre 1100 just last week with 131 000 kms on the clock and not a thing wrong with it. Original clutch !!
I like the zuki for its nimbleness, light weight, power and handling. Haven't gotten used to the way it sounds though, reminds me of a sewing machine that needs a good lube job. Also I'm trying as we speak to grow slightly longer legs..LOL
All in all though I think I'm gonna like it a lot. It's actually fun to ride a bike again.
I've been having a great time adding stuff like a centrestand, crash bars, hard bags, voltmeter, stebel airhorn(made my own harness). Also just finished routing my headlight current through 2 relays to save the starter switch contacts. Headlight is also a lot brighter as a bonus, as it gets a bit more power.
Heated grips, radiator guard and chain alignment tool on order.
This forum seems to have some very knowledgeable folks on board and I'm looking forward to learning more and sharing any knowledge I have.
Happy trails

Welcome aboard from a fellow bluenoser.

Sounds like you're well on your way with aftermarket goodies. Post some pics up of that bad boy when you get a chance.

PS- Ya know, you can fix that sound problem you have with a nice Akrapovic pipe,,, just sayin.

Welcome!

There's quite a few of us here in the province that lurk and contribute to the site regularly. Not sure what area of our beautiful province that you're in but still give us a heads up if you're ever in the mood for a group ride/gtg. There's always someone up for it. If you drive in and around Halifax you'll see mine parked in front of the firestation on Robie at the IWK periodically. If the bay doors are open, stop by.

Check out our wiki when you get the chance too. We're in the process of trying to save all the tech info, how-to's, and faq's that are scattered from one end of this forum to the other all into one, easy to navigate spot. Check it out here.

Another site that's more local, albeit more offroad than on, is dualsport.ca. There's a bunch of adv riders on there as well and we quite often do "big-bike" rides together. Check out the galleries for some of our recent rides

Ride safe!
