Hey All,

Picked up my DL650A Adventure from Ultimate Cycle in Richmond VA on Friday, put about 350 on it so far and it starts commuter duty tommorow inside the beltway. Great bike and 48.7 miles during break-in is mighty nice.

This one joins a happy house with a 2003 KLR and a 1981 DT100. The DL650 is going to be a bit better for my commute, and will give me a chance to take the KLR off the road for a thorough clean/inspect. The KLR can now be my fun bike for awhile now that I have the Strom to carry the load during the week.

Lots to learn, so I'll just be lurking for a bit.

Sorry for the delay, Steve at Ultimate Cycles was good to deal with, but I was not a very difficult customer either. I needed a bike that day, called verified it was there - ready to go. Threw my gear in the car, my wife and I drove the 100 miles to get there. Looked at the bike, sat on it, said "let's do it". I had checked Cycle Trader and printed out thier ad with MSRP on it, and a competitors that had the bike listed for $8999. They matched the price, I applied for the 0% financing, and after leaving to have some lunch while the mechs got the inspection sticker on and did final preps, I took delivery and rode it home. Still paid the usual freight and setup fees but still got out the door including tax/tag/title for just under $10K. I don't have much time off, I really don't enjoy the negotiation process, and this bike seems to be moving fast off the showroom floor. Overall, the bike is a great choice for me, and I'm very satisfied with the deal.
