Greetings! I'm new to Stromtroopers as I just got my new-to-me wee on Saturday. Although Sandy has kept my riding under wraps I'm looking forward to many miles ahead.
I went from a 2003 Suzuki DRZ400S seen here: ![]() ...to a 2004 Suzuki V-strom 650, complete with farkles! ![]() Things I noticed right away: 1) the wee is big and wide compared to my DRZ. I mean W I D E. wow. 2) the wee weighs 150+ lbs more than my DRZ and I felt it right away. This isn't a bad thing. It felt totally grounded on the road and I was up to 70mph before I knew what happened. Fantastic. 3) the wee sounds deep & throaty compared to my thumper and it makes me smile. Anyway, I wanted to say hi in the sisters forum because I think it's great that there are other women who are also enjoying the V-Strom. Cheers!

Well, welcome to the club. And ya know, the Wee seems to have the same effect on everyone who gets one the first time they ride it. It makes them smile. I come from 20 years of riding Gold Wings, and my Wee makes me smile every time I ride it.

I almost thought I wrote this. I went from a drz 400s to a dl 650 blue in color with all the farkles. Absolutely love the bike. I liked the drz but it just did not suite my needs. Now all I need is a cheap Dual sport to satisfy my single track needs

Welcome to the addiction. The strom is a unique drug.

the '99 model has a good suspension & is still air cooled & it hauls LARDUS BOTTOMUS MAXIMUS (260#) around quite nicely if you weigh less, all the better they make a great pair shiny side up sw

Made the same switch and love the Wee. Still have and love the DRZ but it just doesn't have what the Wee does. Congratulations.

I haven't rode my DRZ in a year. I'm always pulled to the V-Strom. Weird how that works!
