Nota-gal, but I have a pin head too and the Scorpion EXO1000 is a good fit for the size.
It's the first helmet I've owned that doesn't twist in the wind on the head bone.
Inflatable cheek pads and built in dark visor, vents well enough. Good price!

webBikeWorld has a wealth of information and reviews of helmets (and lots of other gear), including lists of helmets sorted by weight, type, and head shape: Motorcycle Helmet Weights - webBikeWorld

Revzilla is closing out HJC symax helmets. Real good price. I bought one, pretty comfortable, about average weight for a modular.

I took my wife to the annual motorcycle show where a local vendor had several brands and models of helmets to try. She found one that was the best fitting and most comfortable for her. In your area, you'll also want excellent ventilation, one of the items scored by webbikeworld. But, fit is everything, and it really has to be tried on. Someone in the south Florida area might post back with a shop that has many brands and models. We're two hours from just about anywhere, much like your location, but the trip is worth it.

+1 trying on helmets.

I took my wife helmet shopping and we both picked out favorite helmets. When I bought the helmets online (same make/model/size), the helmets had a different fit/comfort level and we had to return them.
Moral of the story? Try local, buy local.

Check out the Nexx X30 helmets. My wife and I have been Scorpion users for the past 4-5 years, but we both just bought Nexx helmets. My wife wanted to go to a modular helmet, but the Scorpion EXO-900 is just so big and heavy and made her head look huge. She normally wears XS-S helmets too.

I bought the XR1R which is one of the lightest helmets out there right now and is awesome. My wife liked the X30 which is a modular helmet, but still have a very narrow chin bar to maintain the helmet rigidity.

Now one thing to keep in mind as you research the X30 is that when they first came out (2009-2010) their face shields didn't open. Not sure what they were thinking there? You'll see many mentions to this on reviews. An easy way to tell these is they have a black area surrounding the visor. In 2011, their face shields open like normal helmets and you can of course open the main chin bar too. My wife ended up with a 2011 model X30.

For 2012 it looks like they have changed things up again. One they redesigned them to better fit US rider heads, but they also have two versions of the X30. Some series don't have top vents which just wouldn't work down here in the SE. I think they still have the X30's with the top vents on them too. Here is a link to the X30 Plain that still has the top vents. - PLAIN NEXX HELMETS

Wife and I went shopping for her an XS helmet. She tried on all the major brands and they fit inside but were huge outside. Wayyy to much padding on a helmet designed to be larger.

That is when she tried on the youth helmets and found a perfect Fulmer. Instead of a larger helmet trying to fit a small head go for the youth helmets designed to be smaller.
