I see your route seems to take you down I-95 through Philly, Baltimore and DC This is a congested high traffic area. Unless you have a reason I would swing further west and use I-81 to head down toward Deals Gap. Depending on how you come down from Maine you can use I-84, I-80 or I-78 to get to I-81. I have made the trip form the Philly area to western NC many times feel free to PM me with questions. Have a great trip and post pictures!

I do want to run Deals Gap. I'd be perfectly happy if more knowledgeable folks spoke up about route suggestions. The only time I've driven even a car on the east coast, was a rental between our motel and Walt Disney World in Orlando. I haven't got a clue.

I certainly will PM you though. Thanks!

I went looking on ADVRider for the tent map. To save others the 5 minutes it took me to find it, here is a link to the thread in ADVRider. And they give a link to the Adventure Rider Tent Space Map via the google myMap Interface. I haven't looked at it closely (I will), but it does look like a good resource. I'd like to head to BC later this summer, but resources are tight. This may help. I'm thinking I'll offer floor space in the spare room and tent space in the small but usable back yard, and garage/shop use.

Thanks for the tip.

I think a four corners trip of Canada should be your next ride. The corners are not that easy to identify - and some are sorely lacking in roads and cities. On the East coast, in St. John's NL, you can catch the rising sun even earlier than in Maine. If the fog lifts.

Good luck with your trip.

I live in southern Maine if I can help in any way. Plenty of room for a tent. 20 miles north of Portland. 1 mile off Interstate 95.

I am outside of Knoxville, about 45 minutes or so from Deals Gap. I have ample yard space for a tent as well as a spare bedroom or 2. Also have a garage with tire changer should any maintenance items be needed. PM me and I will send you a phone number. My wife and I both have 650 stroms and may ride a bit with you.

Hi, I'm in Missoula, Montana and it looks like you might be coming through here. Send me a message when you think you may have an idea of when you may be in this area. Live in a small place but have garage space, work area, and definite tent area. May be able to help with some road planning out of here and may be able to even ride a ways with you. Depends on my own work schedule. Good luck with your trip!

I can help you out with all that if you are heading this way, going through Spokane. Just let me know since I don't know your route.
