Listen to your members and stop blowing them off as making a mountain out of a molehill. If the members of this forum don't like this discrimination factor then you Mods and Admins should do something about it. Not just give us: "your making a mountain out of a molehill" attitude. You may feel this way others don't so please respect that.

My only post in here!

I think it's kind of funny just how fast the men around here turn into children. Get over yourselves.

Unfortunately, some of the reactions to this forum have been:

Extremely offensive to the women here.
Crude.
Just plain disgusting.

I could go on. The worst of those messages have been deleted. If I see more of those sort, I -will- delete them.

If you have issues that concern women, issues that are on-topic, they would not be touched. There was never an intent to punish or exclude anyone with valid women's issues here. There-was- an intent to keep the male messaging to a bare minimum. No apologies for that, it's a womens forum, get it? It's pretty obvious by the results here that there definitely a need to keep the worst of the offenders out. Theres no excuse for the kinds of derogatory comments or personal attacks that have been posted here, none.

When Brendan and I were discussing whether to set up this forum, we talked about passwording it. I felt that we probably didn't have to, with the mistaken belief that the guys would have enough integrity to leave the women to their one very small part of this message board.

I was obviously wrong.

I am disgusted with some of you. Did you know your mothers are women?
Would you treat them the way you've treated the women in this forum? Would you look a woman in the eye and says the sorts of things you've said here?

Probably not. At least I hope you wouldn't be that crude in a personal situation.

Many of the guys here have privately emailed me congratulations on this forum. I want to say 'THANK YOU, GUYS! You know who you are.
Your support has been sorely needed and gives us the resolve to carry on instead of cave in to the sort of negativity we've been dealing with.

We should treat EVERYONE with respect, men & women. You know, most things in this world were made with men in mind, from our first cars and trucks, thousands of things, even our pay scales. Females should be given some extra respect, they have it coming. Let the women have their forum. To quote Cyndi Lauper " Girls just wanna have fun "

Solve the whole issue by removing this line from the opening post,

This is an area for WOMEN ONLY, and I hope the guys here will respect that. It's a public forum right now, and I sincerely hope that we can keep it that way.

and making a statement that this section is for womens Strom related issues but anybody is free to contribute relevant comments, advice or requests.

The problem that you cannot see is that you have created an exclusion zone. If you fix that problem the whole issue will go away.

Equality

Here's the way I look at it. Humanity can be likened to a bird. This bird has two wings. One male, one female. If a bird's wings don't beat equally it can't fly properly. Give the ladies thier due. Us men would be nowhere without them in our lives.
