The high beam does go on too. As was mentioned, check the clutch lever and flash to pass switch and turn mount a little to clear if needed. Some people hit the switch with their hands and don't realize it.

The idea of hitting the pass switch makes sense if the actual hi-beam went on - it does not. The only thing that lights up is the dashboard indicator that my hi-beam is on.

This could be stupid but I am going to ask. Does your high beam work via the high beam switch? You might have a busted high beam filament and that is why you only get the indicator.

Yes it did.

As for the repair, I took it to a Suzuki Place and the guy made a couple of adjustments and it was fixed in under 10 minutes. Not completely sure what he adjusted, think it was moving booth the clutch lever plus something else.
