Once again with the mountain biking history, I have cat-like reflexes with the brake fingers. Having said that, I always put 2 fingers on the levers when in heavy traffic, construction, or heading toward a car waiting at an intersection. Even with quick hands, it takes time to get in position, and time means distance, and distance means kinetic energy.
