Dirtbiker59 and I decided to take a short ride on a beautiful Friday.
Here is a link to our ride. Pictures of beached stroms and video of puddle jumping. We really need to get some adv boots. Our road racing boots were not very waterproof . Enjoy: http://www.everytrail.com/view_trip.php?trip_id=1794957 ![]() Know your limit. Ride within it.

The sand nap pictures look familiar. I tried to do the sandy road thing and met the same end.

I was on Sideroad 5 heading east to the Murmar/Tosorontino townline, last Friday on that beautiful sunny day....alone! Your map has the roads ending, but the townline goes all the way from 89 to 17....very hilly.
My route was more muddy than your's though.....$120 later for a lift up the hill from a front end loader....that got stuck at the top of the hill and had to go 3kms the other to get picked up by the flatbed....who was stuck in a sandy driveway on the townline for 1/2 hour......priceless ! I now live by your mantra..."Know your limit. Ride within it"

I am happy to hear that you made it out of the area in one piece. The area you got stuck, was it 5th line that runs North and South? I have taken 5th line from Regional Road 17 all the way south to Sideroad 15 in Hockley where it ends. When I did that stretch, it was mid-summer. It hadn't rainded in a long time. The path was very dry and sandy. But I was on almost bald trailwing tires and I was riding alone....... ![]() I made it without incident, but there are many areas where you could have a get-off and ruin your day. Drop me a PM next time you want to explore that area. I would be happy to ride with you. Cheers Paul

I came across the 5th SR from Everett, then at Concession Rd. 2 it changes to unassumed road all the way across to the townline.
