Default Nebraska's National Forest... WHAT?

I’ve heard a rumor that Nebraska has a National Forest. I’m skeptical though I’ve lived here a good chunk of my life and I’ve never seen it. Soooooo, tomorrow I’m in the search for one of the best kept secrets. I’m riding Friday from Western Nebraska to Norfolk, NE (411 miles)for a Civil Air Patrol SAR exercise then on Saturday riding to Halsey, NE to find the Shangri-La forest. To make it more of a challenge I’m choosing to do this on the hottest weekend, predicted temp 101. Packing the normal camping gear and lots of water. My riding gear will be air mesh and hope I can dodge any thunderstorms.

I’ll take pictures of the infamous Nebraska National Forest and post.

According to Google, you have at least 2. I found out about one about 1 year ago and just learned about the other.

Car Henge is a wonderful stop. Walk into the circle and feel the Cosmic AutoEnergy® there...

Car Henge, stop and smell the old oil?
I'se seen the caddies in Texas, yadda, yadda, yadda. Just old cars buried in the sod! Those poor wrecks have been picked over during the years on display.
