One of my friends invited me and another friend to his farm in the Norther Cape (South Africa). They both drove in a car and I decided that this is the perfect opportunity to go and do the adventure thing with my beloved Wee. This was only a 3 day trip but is was allot of fun.
All packed and ready to go: ![]() On my way: ![]() Wheat fields: ![]() ![]() The farm house: ![]() This was the road to the river we where going to camp next to. They decided to go and show us where it is with the truck before we took all our camping equipment. I was looking forward to riding down this road with my Wee when the truck got stuck in the sand. This made for a challenging ride later in the day: ![]() The river: ![]() ![]() Our camp, it was a real challenge getting my Wee this far: ![]() Some fish we caught: ![]() ![]() ![]() Wallpaper quality view: ![]() Now these pictures where taken the day after we camped next to the river. It was raining all night and we packed up to go back to the house. The soft sand was not as big a challenge as the day before seeing as the rain made it a bit harder. What I forgot about was the clay sand that now turned in to clay mud. I struggled for about an hour to get the bike out of the mud, at one point there was so much mud under the fender of the front wheel it would not move! I had to get off the bike clean the mud out and then drive for about 6 feet and do it again. Eventually the other guys came to help me push the bike out of the sticky mud. ![]() ![]() This is the dirtiest my baby ever was before! I was pretty tired after this ordeal but is was a hell of allot of fun! I have some videos also of me sliding around and getting stuck in the loose sand. i will upload them on youtube and post the link.

The funny thing is that I was stuck so deep in the mud that I got off the bike and it kept standing!

Haha. I had to laugh at the "this was the dirtiest" quip. That's about the cleanest my KLR ever was! But, now that I've made the leap to a more road-worthy vee, I guess I can no longer scoff. I do like the way it gleams...
