Filmed, edited and narrated by an Austrailian, but shot on the South Island of New Zealand.

I just got back from a 17 day honeymoon in NZ. We traveled a fair amount on both North and South islands, although sticking predominantly to the more touristy destinations. My wife had been to Australia before, but I had never been anywhere near that part of the world.

We were not on a motorcycle as my wife does not ride. Instead we were in Toyota Camry rental cars.

The country was unspeakably amazing. The roads, the people, the scenery. Street riding there has to be epic, insane fun. The climate is well suited to riding. I was surprised there weren't more riders. It was just amazing.

..And all I saw were the well traveled major state routes. 'Adventure' riding in NZ has to be even more remarkable.

Seriously, I want to go back.

We stayed at a B&B off of Riwaka-Marahau Road just before Takaka Hill. We had views of Riwaka and on to Nelson. As I'm sure you know, that whole area is flanked by mountains.



Even the roads through the hilly farm country west of Hamilton on North Island were wonderful.

If you live there, do not come to the North East portion of the US. We have absolutely nothing to offer you and our climate is miserable in comparison.

Interesting bikes too. We were at a roadside burger joint getting a late lunch one day and a guy pulled in on a Suzuki GSR750. Never heard of such a thing.

Thank you gentlemen for "bumping" this thread! I know that many individuals have viewed it, but I have had no clue if anyone has actually watched the video segments! (Maybe you guys didn't either!)

Anyway, hopefully this will stir the interest of others to make the time to view the clips. I think they are great, and I would LOVE to ride in New Zealand!

(Speaking of Love..... nhbubba, does your new bride have a sister? One that DOES like motorcycles? Just askin'........)

I watched much of one of the parts in the middle while at work. Keep bumping the thread.. keep reminding me to watch the rest.

Wifey has a sister. Freshly divorced. Two kids and no love for motorcycling though... Keep fishing my friend.

Okay, watched the videos front to back. Yup, awesome.

Almost makes a guy want for a WR or KLX eh?

This road-bound tourist recognized a few scenes from the Queenstown area. The riverbed they were riding through looks a lot like the Dart River valley. We did an excursion up that way. Although from his map it looks like it was likely one of the other rivers in the area.

Looked it up.. 3 day tours starting under $900 NZD. Now all I need is the bike, gear, airfare, and freight. ... Oh yeah, and maybe some off-road skills!
