I used to like flickr. But sure enough, Yahoo! bought it and now, unless you pay, you can only display 200 photos.

Flickr is hard to beat when it comes to communities of interest, tagging and social networks, but now with the membership price, I am looking elsewhere. Picasa seems simple to me, especially with the desktop client added to it, however, the fact that full res images are displayed in a frame and you have to drag them around is a pain.

I curious as to what makes the $40 dollar Smugmug better then $0 a year Photobucket? Not trying to be a smart ass just wondering?

Photobucket DOES limit how many photos, (or how much combined space), you upload. At a point, they will notify you that you have exceeded your limit; all of your photos will be truncated within the forums you have used them, unless you pay $29.95/yr.

I really like the drag and drop uploading of Mugmug. I have the base account. Anybody know the storage limit. I am too lazy to look.

By web address do you mean the address of the page at the top of the browser? If so, that is the problem. Right click the picture and click copy image location. Also make sure the image is public and the pasted address ends in a picture format extension such as jpg.
