I'd been humming and hawing for months on this purchase, finally my wife told me either buy it or stop talking about it. So Sunday I flew out to Austin Texas and picked her up. I just got back to Charleston today. Now it's time for some serious riding!

Thanks, man this thing just eats up the miles. I left Austin Monday and drove straight through to New Orleans. I stayed with a host I met on couch surfing.com. She hopped on the back of the wing and gave me a tour of the city. The next day I left and drove to Atlanta and stayed with another person off couch surfing.com, they cooked me a great dinner and we watched a midnight showing of the hobbit. This morning I got an early start, had breakfast at a nice diner and rode to Charleston. A good adventure to break in my new bike.

It's had both ends replaced with the traxxion hardware. The previous owner weighed 270 so it's perfect for me.

Good looking machine and awesome that its had the Traxxion work done, thats very expensive and was the most glaring flaw I saw on my GL1800.
For those that get along with them ergonomically theres really no better touring bike.
Of course the biggest problem with them is you may find yourself drawn to bolo ties, stuffed animals and Dairy Queens if you keep it too long.
