| Other Motorcycles Forum for you to discuss anything about any other motorcycles. Good place for former (and soon to be) V-Strom owners to keep on the site even though they are without a strom. |

Ditto on that. My wife would just laugh at me if I asked her to jump on and hang onto that ring. My 2nd bike is a DR650 and she won't even ride with me on that.

All of these posts give me hope that the dream of a second bike is attainable.
Interesting to see all the KLR owners on here. That's the bike I sold to buy the Wee. Really liked it, but it was just too much to tolerate for the long stretches of slab I find I have to ride to get to the fire roads I like to ride...roads that in general are easily traversed on something like a Wee. If I want another dirt oriented bike I think I'd get something smaller, though, and just haul it in my truck (the KLR was, frankly, too damn heavy for me to wrestle on/off by myself). Is it a blessing or a curse that no one bike can do it all? ![]() Obligatory KLR photo: Last edited by ddavidv; 11-30-2012 at 07:37 AM. Reason: Added photo of awesome KLR |

Another V-Strom, natch. After putting 77k miles on my 04 Strom, I bought a new 05 and moved all my touring stuff to the 05. then I stripped the 04 and stuck on a short dirt-bike Super-Trapp muffler and went rippin with my buds. With a 14 tooth sprocket it runs like a 900 (or so the buds would tell me). the DR 650 is too weak and detuned and I never liked KLR handling. Older V-Stroms are cheap and bulletproof. Go for it!
