I reckon that you need to ride one - preferably for a day.
I don't really think that there is a great difference between the two bikes bar position. Definitely nowhere near as bad as going from a Vee to a sportsbike. Foot position and overall posture may also come into play and the Vee is possibly a bit more roomy (some people lower the pegs on Connies - I never would as I've been known to touch the pegs down occasionally).
I'm not you so I really do recommend a decent ride on one. I can ride either bike all day with really only my backside complaining.
