| Other Motorcycles Forum for you to discuss anything about any other motorcycles. Good place for former (and soon to be) V-Strom owners to keep on the site even though they are without a strom. |

D'oh! I see now. But so thin... are they expandable? I can't see 29 liters being only a few inches thick.

Look like the city lids on my BMW luggage. My Sea Horses seem thicker. Some BMW stuff does expand by 3" with the lift of a lever. Kinda neat.

I thought the automatic transmission as well abs and good gas mileage with nifty tank-storage seemed pretty neat. Read it was sluggish though... but to be expected when gas economy is the standard. Sharp looking bike.

I'd buy that before I would buy a scooter. Perhaps it is that sort of mentality they are trying to capitalise on?

Better fuel economy than the wee and the auto-transmission seems like it would be nice. If I had a garage and the bucks, I wouldn't mind picking one of these up. And a cruiser, R1, klr, snowmobile, jet ski...

Its kind of interesting looking in some ways. I don't see why they need to jab you 2 grand extra for the dual clutch transmission though.
Its also interesting that some of the 'innovation' like the fake fuel tank storage was already there on the Aprilia mana. |

Overall a positive review, having accepted the limitations and compromises that underlie the concept:

A more practical motorcycle.. Quick everyone hate it. I'll never get the attitude towards bikes over here. I'd say for the majority of riders in the usa a bike is something that gets taken out on the weekends for a few hours at a time. The less practical the bike the better does it make 140HP and no storage... Perfect! Is it 8ft long, and weigh 900lbs even better. While we are over here pretending to be pirates and pro racers, the rest of the world uses bikes as practical tools of transportation. Storage, low cg, smooth power delivery, even automatic transmission. All these things make sense. When you are riding around getting groceries, paying bills. It's like we've been trained to automatically dislike any kind of practically built into a bike... Ok rant off.

I sat on one of these a couple of days ago.
It's a very small bike. I couldn't ride it if I wanted to. When the Japanese design a bike, do they take the size of westerners into account, or do they design them for smaller people? Us tall folks want to know... |

I saw it last Saturday eve at Honda Canada but didn't ride it. It sure looks like a lovely bike! I'm wondering sales success may be poor as the old expression "sell the sizzle, not the steak" might hurt it since it appears to lack sizzle. mos traders don't wind out their bikes but that doesn't mean they don't want to be able to.
