A Harley I would actually buy! - Stromtrooper Forum : Suzuki V-Strom Motorcycle Forums
Other Motorcycles Forum for you to engage in banter about other motorcycles. Good place for former (and soon to be) V-Strom owners to keep on the site even though they are without a Strom. This is not a tech forum on other bikes. There are other sites for that.

A Harley I would actually buy!

Hey fellow Harley bashers, seen this?

Harley-Davidson Introduces New Model And It's Not a Cruiser!

"The Street Rod is available in Vivid Black, Charcoal Denim, or Olive Gold, with a US starting price of $8,699"

They say it's about 68 horsepower and redlines at 9K rpm, hmm... wonder how big the tank is?

And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love. 1 Cor 13:13

Fuel tank is 3.5 gallon US according to the US Harley web site. what is that.. 14 liters?

Bike sounds great! I don't like the look of the handlebars and mirrors but that's about all I dislike about it.

Yet another manufacturer coming to the party albeit a little late. Whatever gen is now that is in the market "dentists just out of school". Blah blah blah. It's a neat looking bike for non cruiser set up. I like it. But it will have to take a back seat to some other ponies I would like to have in the stable. Maybe this summer after they make a few and the aftermarket parts counter catches up it could be a capable contender.

Whatever you choose to ride, enjoy it and be open to new experiences.

"Harley-Davidson describes the pegs as rear-set, but we'd say they offer a more comfortable "standard" riding position." Context is everything.

Nice bike. Gotta throw something out to pull Scout sales away from Indian. I really like the belt drive. I know they won't do it, but I'd also love to see other platforms such as Adventure and mild sport.

I've heard they are on the small side. I just looked at the website, they wack you for $1150 more than the cruiser 750.

Coincidentally, I was just looking at this on line today. It looks like the spiritual descendant of the old XLCR from back in the 70's (which didn't sell well at all). I think it's great to see new bikes from HD that don't follow the same old chrome plated Barca Lounger theory of design.
