Default Ugly Helmets & Poor Attitudes

My off topic reply to this thread... I Give You Permission To Die ... is listed below...

Nope, no pirate duds for this boy. But man, that's one weird helmet, that's fer sure.
I can say this, the folks that won't wear a helmet ain't gonna wear that one, either.
Perhaps you need a Batwing Bagger to justify the helmet.
Hence a question to you guys that own multiple bikes...
When you are out on your ADV bike you wave, smile, talk, help, etc...
But when you go out for a ride on your batwing bagger you dress (and act) like a complete bung-hole.
Why is that? No really. Help me understand the metamorphosis.
I ride a Harley too and never understood the "attitude" concept.

And yeah, I ride ATGATT on the Harley just like I do on the Vee.
You should see the other Harleymen cringe when I pull into the local bike stop for some gas a Coke!

I don't think that is what strompilot said nor meant, if I'm understanding your direction correctly with this quote and subsequent question.

Um, yeah... which is why the off-topic retort was politely moved to it's own thread.
From bad helmets choices to bad attitudes. It's a stretch, but I believe there may be a connection.

Um, well, methinks you misunderstand, Grasshopper. The fact that I also own a cruiser doesn't equate to turning into an azzhat when I'm riding it. It's just a motorcycle and a style I like to ride from time to time. And it doesn't have a batwing fairing--just a windshield. And it happens to belong to my wife, actually, who lets me ride it whenever I am in the mood. Also, I tend to wave at everyone. No attitude here. Oh, and I wear a helmet because it protects my head. Has nothing to do with what I ride. Wearing a helmet or not is your choice.

I think Strompilot has it right. Imagine if every time you got on a Vstrom you turned into a cheapskate with a huge chip on your should towards BMW riders and spent your time worrying about whether cruiser riders are gay or not?
Now that doesn't happen does it?
Trust me, an azzhat will be an azzhat regardless of the kind of bike they own.

Bung holes ride all kind of bikes and only a bung hole would think otherwise!
