Love the Queen Twinkertiti, Nbsdave ! I get worried when I see a Company where more than 50% of the Big Boys haven't come up through the ranks [and/or] haven't spent many years "living" in that type of business. Excessive pay for the top Execs is another unhealthy sign. We won't even mention BHP-Billiton or Transocean and their drilling rigs ! And a small personal sadness for me : It sounds like I will now never have the chance to try one of the legendary Twinkies. Though I must admit that was down near the bottom of my Bucket List. Nil desperandum . . . perhaps one day I shall find a previously undiscovered pharaoh's tomb . . . and there it will be, with a shaft of sunlight falling slantwise onto its glowing [or twinkling] golden sarcophagus . . . . |

Fortunately, the heads of the unions have salaries comprable to the union members so they can identify with them. But then, union members want what the union officers demand, not what they are worth. I've seen a job shut down because there was an 8" shovel being used instead of the mandated 7". It all makes sense to me. Long live the Twinkie. |

Its union crap like bread had to be delivered separately from the cakes thus taking 2 truck and 2 trips when one would do. They are based in TX already. Bimbos or Flowers will get them.

Does anyone else find it incredibly ironic the you Americans finally agree to legalize pot then immediately choose to stop production of Twinkies??! Oh the Humanity!

In all my years of pot smoking, I never EVER thought "man, I sure could go for a twinkie".............Just never happened, and never will. POTato chips, certainly, but Hostess? Hardly!
But, some venture capital vulture will buy up the name, and crank up production in a month or so. And all those Trekkies buying up all the OG hostess product will be looking like quite the jerk.

Unions at one point in time were so great for this nation, now they have become a cancer in most instances.

There were tomato canning plants in Clinton and Paducah Kentucky in the mid 1900's. The people in Clinton would not purchase the ones canned in Clinton and bought mostly the ones from Paducah and vice versa. Somehow they thought the other plant canned differently?
