It's entertainment, yo. Unless you're a masochist, perhaps another avenue might be more enjoyable?

Saw it with my 17 yo. I just can't get into it like the old Bond films. Yes they were a little silly sometimes, but how can you beat characters like Goldfinger, Odd Job and Pussy Galore. Just me but I always liked Connery. Got to meet him in person in the Bahamas and his on screen presence is also apparent in person. His was having a heated discussion on the street with John Houston (now deceased).
Just couldn't get into it, but I find myself to be an oldie-goldie lately.

If it was actually entertaining I'd be ok with it.

A group of friends were going, the wife wanted to go, brunch at a good restaurant afterward, so I sucked it up. Sometimes you end up pleasantly surprised, sometimes not. This was the latter.

I'm taking my 18 yoa grandson to see it this week. he's up here for Thanksgiving, and we've been to see all of Daniel Craig's Bond movies, so it's become sort of a tradition for us.

the way I look at it, Craig is tough action and Connery was very smooth and classy. Sort of a gentleman spy.

Smile Liked it myself

I have seen all the movies and read the books, as well. I liked this one just as I have liked most of the others.

Craig is a good, believable Bond, and Judy Dench is probably the best M they have ever had.

"Refreshing" an old franchise has got to be a challenge and we all know plenty of them that have failed. I think the Broccoli family has done a good job "protecting" the franchise and this movie, in particular did a good job laying groundwork for future movies.
