Depending on the particular disease, it can reasonably be expected to burn out in about a month, assuming the authorities are successful at curtailing travel. Of course, if it is genetically engineered, then it may be infectious indefinitely, and all bets are off.

Not so fast.

Now experts are claiming that we will be able to reduce our dependance on foreign oil by 50% over the next decade due to new production techniques, according to the International Energy Agency(IEA).

U.S. Foreign Oil Imports Projected to Decline by More Than 50% Within the Next Decade

I think the oil companies create 'Peak Oil' stories and such to protect their image politically while knowing all along that what they are saying is false.

Too many times, America is a land of lies, and a land of liars.

I was wondering if your name at the end of this thread was a "Lockdown Notice"!

Does reading it make you feel young again?

Reminds me of a Southern Baptist tent revival with everyone singing, "Revive us again". Like zombies, it does happen without explanation!

I just read 5 pages of posts about something called "peak oil" thinking it was going to be better than Marvel Mystery Oil. What a waste.

Also why is this thread not moved to the "big oil thread"?

If someone want to be "born again" more than once it begins to take on an erotic connotation, revisiting the birth canal and all that. Now I see why those televangelists are frequently snared in sex scandals.
