what's the issue? i know of a guy in woodinville that has a dyno and can tune suzukis with all factory stuff. no power commander needed. he does magical work.

I have the common fueling issues and a terrible spot between 2500-3000 that it spits,coughs and is unridable unless you are powering thru it.So that guy can adjust the ECU without a yosh box ??

Have you tried Aurora Suzuki. Alex is their VStrom Tech there. He did my 07 1K.
He keeps BluRay in shape for me. I drive down from Arlington to have him work on my bike. He is the only one I trust in this area to actually do the work.

I didn't check with Aurora,most of the time Suzuki dealers won't "adjust" the computer because it's illegal I believe.

Well, I do not know the legalities of it. I originally was sent to them by the Suzuki regional rep. When I purchased my bike as new old stock from a different dealer. All the other local dealers just gave me the run around about the fueling issues of the 1K. I got fed up with the stock answer of "it just runs that way" and contacted Suzuki which led to being told to head down to Aurora. That was 3 yrs ago. Alex went through and set up the bike as it should have been out the door including a Yosh tweak. Actually I think they have the Teka(sp) box. Anyway, they adjusted the TPS, Throttle cables, sync'ed the carbs and tweaked the fueling. After that the bike ran as it should. All was covered under warranty at the time. From then on I head down to Aurora every 7500 milesish and Alex keeps it running great.
A year or so back I asked them about fueling issues if I swap out the cans for Leo's and they said "not a problem we can adjust it again with the Teka box".
I think the 07 1K was the last year the plug they use for the Yosh or Teka box was wired into the harness. It is back on the left side cover below the seat.
