Default Some great dirt riding is now in prime condition.

Anyone looking for some where to ride on great dirt roads? Capitol forest is ready for you. Both dust and mud are hard to be found. Some challenging up and downs along with some fast stretches(30-40 mph). I'm sure on the weekend there could be a certain amount of traffic(ATV's included), but today I only saw 1 vehicle in 50 miles of riding. Enjoy!!

Don

I am going to have to get out that way to play in the capitol forest. I hear it is awesome.

A few photos from area around Rock Candy Mtn.
About 10-12 miles in on the NE corner of capitol forest. Bridge gone. I'm sure a crossing could have been done, but I turned around.

Same spot, looking back.

Most of the roads were in good condition. No snow and few puddles.

The view from the top was incredible.

Hope to do it again next month.

Thanks for the post NVR, looks like a nice area. I was wondering about that area south of there last year. I had plans to snake through from around Pe Ell head south to Skamokawa. Didnt happen as I didnt have the time. I might take a run down there this summer with the wife. We're planning a couple weeks of riding based out of Oak Harbor, and I might go to Capital if it's do-able for a beginner on a Bonneville.
