Looks like there's some interest, so I will host a tech session at my house in Bellingham. My need is learning how to replace my chain and sprockets, and I could definitely use some advice on proper cleaning, all my bikes are filthy. If anyone wants to add another topic, chime in.
I have a nice clean garage and plenty of parking, and will even throw in some beer and pizza. If you're interested in attending, pm me and I'll send you the address. The house is very easy to get to from north or south. When: Sunday, August 29, 1:00PM Where: Bellingham, WA Why: 'cause we want to! Tom

I might just be game. Depends on if my wife and I are riding that day or Saturday. If we head out Saturday, Sunday is open for me.
I don't own a DL anymore, and don't have to worry about pesky chains needing changing, but I'm always up for some beer and pizza. Hell..I may even buy some Honda moly lube stuff and lube some splines! I'll even wear my Stromtrooper t-shirt to put you all at ease.

Low,
I am sure you have been on the FJ forum, but i will add my $.02 worth for proper lube after running almost 100k on a few ST1100/1300's. I have heard many people besides just Honda people raving about the Honda Molybdenum Disulfide lube as being some of the best on the market for longevity of splines and their wear. It sticks to it awesome, and adding a liberal amount is always best for them. There has never been anything wrong with adding extra, then a few miles later seeing it coming out of the cracks. Better too much than not enough. Yamaha owners may be a little different whining though. Wee I can bring the Fork Oil if you want to change your oil. That way it is free. I also have the big allen tool. PM me the address please. Thanks, Jeff

I'm thinking 10k is also time to change the rear drive oil, so I'll need to pick up some of that as well. Fun times.

I just remembered the race this weekend, we can also watch the Indy MotoGP race (in HD, natch) and see if Nicky or Ben (or Colin or Roger Lee - Moto2) can pull off a surprise win.

Let's do it. Are you game for helping with a brake flush, too?

I can help with that. Just did it on the DL650 before I sold it. I even have a fresh bottle of DOT4 if you need one.
Do you have a MityVac or anything?
