Hi,
I have a daughter who is hiking a portion of the Mt. Rainer Wonderland Trail and would like to shuttle their car from Mowich Lake for them. I'm considering taking my younger daughter on my Glee and have her shuttle the car.
Is this advised considering the following?
Date: Oct/8th
My bike:
2012 DL650 adventure, original tires with 10K miles (I put 8k of those on this last year), ~20% left on the rear, no skid plate.
About me and passenger:
This will be 2 up. I weight 165 lbs, my daughter weighs 105 lbs. This would be our first 2 up on gravel. She's a great rider and passenger.
I have little gravel road riding experience. I did the Zigzag to Lost Lake via Lolo pass a few weekends ago, which had maybe 10 miles of gravel, most were hard packed and was a pleasure to ride on.
How much loose gravel does it have?
So should I go for it or make other plans?
Kind regards,
PS I'll be posting this at advrider as well.
