SW Mototech.

I crashed my bike, 2 weeks ago. Hit a large patch of glass beads used to make the white fog lines reflective. KDOT didn't clean up their mess. The SW guards protected the bike and although scuffed up, are in good shape.

It's like a chinese puzzle though isn't it. I loosened them the first time, but discovered the panels would come off with some twisting and turning.

I went with AltRider crash bars, skid plate and frame slider. The whole thing installed perfectly (albeit with some swapping hardware washers and bolts for the skid plate). It gives you plenty of access to the oil filter and drain plug (on a 2012 with no oil cooler). The ride is nice and smooth, no vibes. The bars are bombproof and the whole kit is precisely built and tight. The slider ends up close to my knees and I could tap my shins when putting my foot down - but that's just a carry-over habit, I guess I swing my leg forward when I take my foot off the pegs.
I considered the Happy-trails bars for price and maximum coverage (total nerf cage), but went with AltRider for stainless steel, quality, and to integrate the plate, bars, and slider.
Looks great too

Blow me over

I couldn't get any crash bars in southern Africa for my wee so ended up with original bash plate and bars. They work great after a small standing still drop but what the hellos 89$ for the stickes that say strom.
Mad crazy price for a sticker.
Fit the best you can afford and feel safe knowing if it goes over you covered. Even for the sticker sake.
Cheers from

The Givi's came on the bike when I bought it.There is no vibration except s bit at about 4800 rpms. My former wee had the SW Motechs. I see no difference between them. Both built tough.
