Hola all!
I have stock handlebars and Rox Risers (2" risers). The risers helped some for sure, but I really want the handlebars further back to me. Although I'm 6'2", my arms aren't the longest in the world. I looked at the MSR Hi Bend ATV bars and was about to buy them, but then have concerns about actually being able to remove my heated grips from my existing OEM bars. So, I see Rox Risers also have a pair that provide for 3 1/2 inches of rise, as well as another set that provides 5 inches. Yes, I know I will have to replace cables, etc., but is there a safety downside to this much of a riser being used? I just don't want to jack up my heated grips and add $250 to $300 to my easy farkle job. My initial thoughts are it would not be an issue. |

I'm in the process of doing the 3.5 Rox and Renthal ATV Hi bend.
Doing this all to clear my Scott's steering stabilizer. Havent finished as I;m saving up for brake lines and clutch and throttle cables. It should be like ape hangers on a Harley ![]() Mike

I have the 3.5" Rox risers and have no issues. I have a scotts damper also mounted and the 3.5" risers clear it nicely. I'm 5'10" and have those risers with Henry/Reed bend protaper bars and they work well for street and dirt.

I'm assuming you had to replace cables and lines up front. How much did that set you back? I haven't priced the extended cables/lines yet. Also, do you recall the lengths of each you bought? Thanks! |

well i ended up installing 4 piston calipers at the same time so i also replaced the lines with SS and the master cyl with a radial from a GSXR1000. Got the lines from Blair ar SVracingparts.com. +2" length will do. I believe they were like $120 and he should have lines available if you want to leave the master cyl alone.
A cheaper option i've seen is an extension for the rubber brake line though i personally think thats a bit dodgy. It introduces another connection point in the brake line which i dont like. The stock cables will reach if you pull them out of the guides by the triple clamp |

Have you every considered the SW motech risers with pullback. I have a set on my strom and they are perfect. 1inch rise with 1inch pullback. Pretty inexpensive as well. I am 6'1". Sorry to be the monkey wrench but they are a cheap option.
