I have a 2002 K2 with emblems on the side cowling. I laid the bike down and smashed the cowling but the emblem is saveable. Wondering if there's a technique to get it off and re-glue it to my new cowling? Trying to save the $100. Thanks!

The new cowling comes with the sticker. Taking off the old sticker will destroy it. Clear enough?

I'd be interested in seeing a picture if there be one available.

If you mean you want to get the S off, it could be done using a new razor. Its pretty thin but if your careful it should come off and be reusable.

Do not use a razor. It is too likely to do damage. You can take it off with your finger nails, or saw through the adhesive with dental floss or monofilament fishing line between the S and the cowling. See also DL1000/DL650 Move/Remove Warning Stickers
