Shell Rotella T6 5W-40 oil IS Dino oil. it is very highly refined to the standard of Group III base oil with the legal right to be marketed as "synthetic.". "Synthetic" is a marketing term, not a technical term. yes, Rotella 5W-40 is good stuff.

"Volar Motorsport is a worldwide distributor for aftermarket motorcycle parts and accessories."

Tusk is the house brand for Jake Wilson and their Rocky Mt. Division. No telling if Tusk and Volar come out of the same factory.

I have a friend that recently introduced me to this oil and I have been using it in my WeeStrom. I also us it in my Honda XR650R.

It is PAO synthetic 15w50 and runs $74 a case, delivered to your door (12 bottles at $6.16 a quart).

Yes, let me put it out there in advance....I have written a testimonial for the oil and a percentage of the profits funnel through Rocky Mountain Adventure Riders to either the Trails Preservation Alliance or the Colorado Off-Highway Vehicle Coalition. But, this oil is really good.....good enough for my pickyness.

Default Brad-Penn?

Howdy,

Anybody tried this stuff? Brad-Penn V2, 'the green oil'. I have seen their ads in bike mags.

i did some research on it, made by American Refining Group, formerly Kendall.

sez they are the oldest continually operating refinery in USA, if not the world. I'm guessing they have a little bit of knowledge in the lubricant game?

ur thots?

Shell Rotella T6 5W-40 is suitable for engines that require API Service Categories CJ-4, CI-4 Plus, CI-4, CH-4, CG-4, CF-4, CF for diesel engines AND Service categories SM, SL, SJ, SH for gasoline engines. It is a dual-rated or "fleet" oil.

That Brad Penn V2 oil looks perfectly OK. It is interesting to note the "V2" as a way of referring to v-twin, a euphemism for a Hardly Ableson.

Default Anyone had oil analysis with mobile 1 motorcycle oil?

Looking for anyone who may have had oil analysis done using Mobil 1 "Racing 4T" Motorcycle specific oil after running extended drain interval of 5 to 10,000 miles. Numbers good, bad, marginal?
