I must be missing something.....I don't see any pictures on the first post. I have been putting off checking/changeing my filter because removing the tank seems like a pain. I now really need to do it because I have 35,000 miles on my bike. Does anyone have pictures of the process of removing the tank?

In order to help out, I have created a PDF document with the actual procedure and photos.
Hope this can help out if anyone needs to print the procedure. https://sites.google.com/site/vstromfiles/
