2004 DL650 with >28,000 miles. Stock screen on low (for summer) with Givi 46 and 21's. Total weight with rider, gear, luggage and stuff is about 220 I figure.
For three legs of the weekend's trip: First tank: 195.2 miles, 4.627gals => 42.19MPG. This was all freeway (yuk), 70-80mph. Second leg: 183.2 miles, 3.748gals => 48.88MPG. This was all two-lane fun roads (like some of Hwy 58 for the CA crowd), 20-85MPH Third leg: 195.2 miles, 4.149gals => 47.05MPG. One half freeways, one half fun roads, varying from bad headwind to some side and tailwinds, 20-85MPH.

Here is mine.
DL1000 K5 87 Octane 180 miles / 4.9 U.S. gallons 36.7 MPG 65 Temp./ 10 mph winds Windshield in lowest position, scorpion pipes, and Givi E52 topcase 165 lb rider plus AGATT 170 of 180 miles were very spirited on what Wisconsin has for twisties 4200 miles on Strom That said I am amazed at most of your milege. I have yet to break the 40 mpg mark.

tinman:
I've been out 58/Park Hill Road/33 three times in the last two months. Can't get enough of that ride. Last time out I ran into a flock (Swarm?) of big-assed grasshoppers at 90+, running that last bit of straight road past the Soda Lake area, before the twisties and then Mckiterick. Yuck. Took some scrubbing to get those big boys off.

ononewheel:
Before I put the new ECM, the Staintunes, and the side cases on I was getting in the 42 to 43 range.

04 650, 12k miles, screen on highest (legal) position.
87 octane My own exhaust no FI calibration changes. total weight with gear aprox 230 pounds. no side bags 254.5 miles 4.973 gallons 51 mpg Conditions were low 60's to low 70's. Winds light variable Started out on slow trails then proceeded to mostly two lane ending with about 30 miles of high speed 4 lane. I was suprised at how good this was. For sure it is attributed to my mostly two lane and low speed trails stuff.
