Default St. paul, a silver one

About 10:30 am, at the intersection of Marshall and Snelling. Making a left off east bound Marshall on to north bound Snelling. Then got on 94 east. A silver one with a full set of givi luggage.

Well a friendly hello then, nice to to see other enthusiasts around. More often than not when a sighting is posted it goes unanswered. I think it's really because they don't know there these kinds of things out there. Anyway, hope to see you around.

Look forward to riding around this area....I am new to the Twin Cities. BTW, that luggage? Not Givi. It's the rare French JC Whitney lougajje' with the exclusive Maltese Crosse prominently displayed...(They really are okay, hold ALOT and cheap!) Stu

I only got a quick glance at the luggage, I was about a block south and I didn't get close enough to get a good look at it. Mind if I ask how new you are to the area? and where you come from? I've lived here all my life, there is a lot of great riding within a few hours from the cities. Even more if you can be gone for a few days.

Hey Wingnut. Grew up just south of the MN border...eventually took over the family newspaper. Sold it when I was 50 and moved to Florida, just south of Daytona. I have had motorcycle most of my life....went through the Harley stage and ended up with an ST that I loved. Hadn't ridden in 5 or 6 years and found this Strom in Belfast MT ($2300) on Ebay and bought it. Got some crash bars from this website, some racks from Vicious Cycles, and some JCW bags. Good to go. Tentatively planning a summer ride down the Appalachians, the Tail, on down to FL (maybe) But, really would like to do some scenic riding around here! (I do have a daughter in LaCrosse, but done that ride a couple of times)

Any suggestions?

I suppose I have a few, sounds like you're from a sport touring background. So I think you might like MN 95 north from Stillwater, the best part of that is from there to marine on St.Croix. If you take it all the way to Taylors falls the last few miles going in to Taylors falls is pretty nice. I also like that road going south from lakeland to past Afton state park. Also try MN 96 from white bear lake to Stillwater. Roberts street south of 494 has some fun curves to play on, I have heard there are a couple of spots on that road cops like to post up at on that road but really don't remember where I was told. I think one was a fire station, and I haven't seen that myself. This is stuff you can go ride on a free afternoon. If you are looking for weekend trips you can always head up north, there is a lot of fun to be had up there. I just came back from a long weekend up there, it was a mix of on/off road stuff. Funny you mention Lacrosse, I just rode down there a couple weeks ago. Went down on the MN side came back up WI side, great way to spend an evening. Also don't forget you are only a day or two from the upper peninsula of Michigan. It's some great riding up there.

I agree with everything Wingnut has said. Speaking of going up North, I just rode to Superior, WI and back today. Put on 395 miles to be exact. Highway 23 between Sandstone and Duluth is a nice ride. And then South on Wisconsin Highway 35 all the way to Hudson was nice. We should get a group ride going one of these days.

Wait you went up that way and didn't ride MN 210 through Jay Cooke state park! The shame, oh the shame! Seriously it's one of the best paved roads in the state. I could be down for a small group ride, by small I mean 3 bikes or less total. I'm also on call 3 out of 4 weekends, so usually monday and tuesday are my "weekends" so to speak. I also like to ride unpaved stuff if any of you do that kind of thing, I'm always looking for more.
