where do you guys mount your lights and how do you switch them?
I have an 06 wee with sw motec crash bars, and I'm thinking about putting them there if I can figure out how. |

I mounted lights on my Suzuki crash bar with mounts from Warn Industries. Bought a switch from Radio Shack. I believe the mounts are primarily used for atv's for they will work with any 7/8 to 1 in. bar. I would use a relay with the switch so that you are not running the current through any switches.

I mounted mine with the fender mounting bolts on the forks. Used the switch and wiring harness that came with the Denali's.

You have two excellent mounting points under the plastic chin piece. Remove the two pop rivets (one on each side) and use the hole in the metal flange they were in to mount the lights. It's a solid location and protected from some of the road vibration and shocks the forks get.
Switch location? I've got switches installed all over my dash panel because I didn't mind drilling holes in it. Heat-Troller for vest, headlight cut-out, driving lights and grip heater switches.

Mine went where amber side reflectors are on the front. I get plenty of side reflection from the shark teeth, heh, I don't need them puny reflectors.

x1 and x2. Way too many wiring options to mention here, but in another thread there is a great link to wiring options from Greywolf. Basic V-Strom Wiring 101 Cheers!
